Josselin, Rouillard

Biography

Josselin Rouillard is a research associate at G-Eau and works for Ecologic Institute Berlin as a Senior Fellow. He works on the evaluation and implementation of European water policies (in particular the implementation of the Water Framework Directive), with a focus on the links between water management and agriculture. His research is based on theories of collective action, political science and institutional economics. He is a member of the European Topic Centre on Water (ETC-ICM) and the European Topic Centre on Urban Land and Soil Systems (ETC-ULS). Between 2018 and 2020, Josselin was on secondment to the French Geological Survey (Brgm) as part of a Marie-Skłodowska Individual Fellowship on sustainable groundwater management. Prior to joining the Ecologic Institute, Josselin Rouillard was a Research Associate at the University of Edinburgh's School of Geosciences and the IHP-HELP Water Law, Policy and Science Centre at the University of Dundee. He has also worked for the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UK), as an environmental consultant for Europe-Planet Earth and for ACTeon, and as an intern for the European Environmental Bureau in Brussels.
